Brian Bacon’s new psychpop ensemble is called Thin Palace. Building on the dramatic, melodic rock he has been performing on regional stages under the name Brian Bacon Band for the last 20 months, Thin Palace brings audiences deeper toward the thrumming heart of the music, introducing grand-scale compositions the likes of which very few bands still attempt on stage. Poetic in the original mythic sense of the word -- sojourning through indescribable beauty and drawing naturally to hair-raising crescendos like a dream you hope will not end. Certain to induce a strange nostalgia for a place you’ve never known, the music of Thin Palace will stick with you long after the final chords fade away.
